Radiotherapy and chemotherapy may be used alone or together to treat Hodgkin Lymphoma. This type of cancer is curable in the majority of cases. The aim of the treament is to cure the cancer while cusing as little damage as possible to other tissues and organs.


A team of specailist doctors will plan your treatment. The kind of treatment chosen for you will be based on many factors. These include the type and grade of Hodgkin's disease and where it is located. Other factors would include the number of lymph nodes affected and whether an organs such as liver are involved and if you have any other health problems.


You may notice other people with Hodgkin's disease are getting different treatment to you. Their cancer may not be at the same stage as yours and their treatment needs may be different.
