A little bit about LSI, lymphoma support in Ireland
Lymphoma Support Ireland
(LSI) was formed in 1987, to provide information, advice and emotional support, for people with Hodgkin Lymphoma (Hodgkin Disease) (HD) and Non Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) and their carers.
LSI holds regular educational meetings covering many issues affecting lymphoma patients. Recent meetings have included Lymphoma diagnosis and treatment, cancer treatment and side effects, cancer and fertility and immune enhancement.
Trained LSI volunteers are available to offer support to patients who contact the Freefone number 1800 200 700.
LSI is affiliated to the Irish Cancer Society.
Isobel explains what the group stands for:
When I was diagnosed in 1985 for the second time, there was no support group and it felt like the end of the world to me.
I had never heard of anyone had survived cancer, once, let alone twice.
Now twenty years on since our formation, we have the support and the help of the Irish Cancer Society and have many members from all over the country.
We hold meetings in different venues around Ireland in addition to those held in Dublin.

I have made so many friends through the group and I hope that our website will help to give hope and encouragement to anyone who visits our site.
